How to Connect branchly with HelpSpace

Easily integrate the branchly Chat (GenAI Chatbot) with your HelpSpace knowledge base to provide customers with quick, accurate answers. This enhances customer satisfaction and reduces support workload. Your team can focus on complex inquiries, while straightforward questions are handled automatically. If personal support is needed, the request is seamlessly forwarded to HelpSpace and your support team.

This guide walks you through the setup process step by step.

Step 1: Set Up Access in HelpSpace

  1. Go to your HelpSpace workspace.

  2. Create an Access Token:

    • Navigate to Settings → Access Token → Create.

    • Enter a name for the token.

    • Set Abilities to Docs only.

    • Click Create Token.

  3. Save the token securely! It is displayed only once. If lost, you will need to generate a new one.

Step 2: Add HelpSpace as a Data Source in branchly

  1. Log into your branchly account and navigate to Data Sources.

  2. Create a new data source:

    • Enter a Name.

    • Select Type: HelpSpace.

    • Leave the Schedule field empty.

    • Enter the Client ID (found in HelpSpace under SettingsAccess Tokens).

    • Enter the API Token you generated in HelpSpace in step 1.

    • Enter the Site ID of your HelpSpace Docs site:

      • Open your HelpSpace workspace.

      • Navigate to Docs and open a page in the backend.

      • The Site ID is in the browser URL: https://workspace.helpspace.com/#/docs/1/... → The number after /docs/ is the Site ID.

  3. Click Create and Run.

  4. The data source is now added to branchly.

  5. Check Run History for progress and possible errors.
